(Los Angeles, CA) April 7th, 2016 - Set to release his first solo single, “January” on April 15th, 2016, pop singer-songwriter Jonathan Cavier blends influences from Duran Duran to David Bowie and Morrissey into a sound all on his own. Tackling themes such as rebirth and renewal, “January” (produced by Cavier and mixed by Cavier and Jason Lossett) features Cavier’s signature blend of acoustic guitars, twelve-string basses, and atmospheric keyboards all supporting his passionate vocal range. The accompanying video for “January” was filmed in Northern California and was produced by Dave Lepori. The video will be released on April 15thas well.
January is the first single from Premier, Cavier’s debut solo album. The twelve songs on Premiere merge his varied pop and rock influences from the 80s and today, resulting in a fresh take on pop music. Taking elements from a wide range of sounds, Cavier hopes to “transport listeners to colorful three-minute worlds,” through his careful composition and thoughtful lyrics. Premier will be released on June 17th, 2016.
