Heart Celebrates the 2013 Yuletide Season with 2 Newly Recorded Christmas Singles, Produced by Emilio Estefan

"Please Come Home For Christmas," with Ann Wilson and Aaron Neville, and "All Through the Night," with Nancy Wilson and Richard Marx, Coming Tuesday, November 12

* * * * *

Heart fans will have two new reasons to celebrate this year's holidays with the release of "Please Come Home for Christmas" and "All Through the Night," the double A-sided digital single from sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, coming Tuesday, November 12.

Ann and Nancy decided to wrap 2013, a year marked by Heart's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, with a pair of special holiday recordings, each recorded with a singer they'd always admired and wanted to work with.

Nancy, along with producer Emilio Estefan and pianist Shelly Berg, wrote a new arrangement for "All Through the Night," a traditional Welsh folksong and recorded a sublime contemporary version of the song with backing vocals by Richard Marx.

Ann made one of her own dreams come true with her duet with Aaron Neville on "Please Come Home for Christmas," a holiday rhythm & blues standard originally a hit for Charles Brown in 1961.

"I have loved Aaron Neville's amazing, soulful voice since I was a teenager, and it is a great blessing to get this opportunity to sing a duet with him," Ann said.  "He truly has a gift, and is a sweet person. It shows on this track."

The arrival of "All Through the Night" and "Please Come Home for Christmas" caps an amazing year for Heart, who've been enjoying a resurgence of popularity since 2010's Red Velvet Car became the group's first Top 10 album in 20 years.  Many successful live shows and tours (including a 2011 co-headliner with Def Leppard) have ensued with 2012 seeing the release of Strange Euphoria, a definitive career-spanning box set; the arrival of Kicking and Dreaming: A Story of HeartSoul, and Rock and Roll, a best-selling autobiography; and the announcement of Ann and Nancy Wilson's Heart star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Released in October 2012, Fanatic, Heart's 14th studio album became the band's 12th to cross into the Top 25.

Heart was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by Chris Cornell on April 18, 2013.

Diva De Lai Reveals New Innovative Bob Dylan Tribute Rock Opera Album, Dylan at the Opera To Be Released October 22nd, 2013

Listen to Single Señor (Tales of Yankee Power) on Soundcloud

Diva de Lai is coming on to the new music scene as an innovative band that is looking to mix two unique styles, Rock and Opera. Dylan at the Opera is a concept album composed of original Bob Dylan songs rearranged in different rock styles with operatic vocals and represents their latest release.

Yuval Nachtom, drummer and founder of Diva de Lai, created the concept and vision for the unique sound. Together with guitarist Eyal Sucher, who arranged the album, worked as a team on the music production.

A well-rounded band, Diva de Lai is comprised of Yuval Nachtom who also holds a PhD in economics, Grammy-nominated bassist and producer Yossi Fine, Eyal Sucher, who holds a Masters degree in music, specializing in orchestra conducting, plays guitar and keyboard with mezzo-soprano and leading classical singer, Karin Shifrin as their front-woman.

Señor (Tales of Yankee Power), the first single, was written by Dylan in the 1970’s and is a dark and depressing song that at the time was not understood. Though the original is simple, the lyric-heavy folk song was perfectly translated into a dramatic rock, opera sound that Shifrin captures in the cover.

With her powerful delivery throughout the song, Shifrin executes the song’s messages on point. “Señor is about lack of hope, the rule of a tyrant, cruelty, lost love and maybe looking for an answer in a heavenly entity,” Nachtom states.

“If we imagine that Señor is the name or nick name of a woman, then one can see here a dirge for a lost love - for a woman who walked away. The color of the lyrics and the melody present a challenge and are a natural basis for hard-core opera.”

Dylan at the Opera is set to be released on October 22nd with 12 tracks to look forward to.  Diva de Lai kept the classic Bob Dylan while providing their own creative spin to an original concept album.

TRACK LISTING FOR DYLAN AT THE OPERA:
  1. Senor (Tales Of Yankee Power)
  2. Is Your Love In Vain?
  3. Dear Landlord
  4. As I Went Out One Morning
  5. Don’t Think Twice It’s All Right
  6. North Country Blues
  7. Dirge
  8. If You See Her, Say Hello
  9. Wedding Song
  10. You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go
  11. Ring Them Bells
  12. Let It Be Me

This year, Brides Against Breast Cancer will host more than 120 bridal shows nationwide,
and will contribute 2 million dollars to support free programs and services to help people impacted by cancer.  In addition, the nonprofit will distribute thousands of breast self-examination cards.

Singer-Songwriter-Pianist Shauna Burns Reveals New Inspiring Celtic Folk Rock CD, “Violet” Set for October 22, 2013 Release

Celtic vocalist and singer-songwriter Shauna Burns is back with new music that will inspire and empower you. With her past releases in 2009 and 2011, she has taken her new music in a new direction for her fans.

“A new seed planted. Almost ready to bloom forth!” After her last album release, Burns is proud to announce her brand new album entitled Violet. The direction taken for this project is focused on women and female empowerment. Continuing with her Celtic flare, this upcoming release also follows the same structure from A Winter Gathering by having collaborations on the album performed by her and her husband, drummer/percussionist James Clark (who also co-produces), as well as Ryan Whyte Maloney on the guitar, Lindsey Springer on the cello, and Caroline Kember, Burns’ niece, on harp.

Violet is currently set for a October 22nd release with a total of 14 songs on the album. With new songs titled “Orchid” and “Portobello”, Burns has stated that this album will have a positive, uplifting spirit.

It will express the strengths that all women should carry. Burns decided to make “Violet” the main piece of the album because she feels it being a concept of being free.

“Orchid” will be a vital piece of the album as well because it showcases a deeper level of vulnerability incorporating the cello, violin, and piano. The single, "Little Song" is a sweet introduction to the album that is about the possibility of the future and giving into what a new relationship brings.  “Out with the old in with the new, letting go and jumping off the cliff of adventure.”
