Highly Anticipated Debut Album Pretty Mess Scheduled for August 11th Release

Los Angeles (April 7, 2009) – Dance music sensation Erika Jayne will bring her third single, “Give You Everything,” to iTunes on Tuesday, April 7. The surefire hit follows the heat from smash singles “Roller Coaster” and “Stars,” which both rocketed Jayne to #1 on the Billboard Dance charts and made her a favorite on dance floors across the world. The iTunes launch will also feature a package of remixes from DJ Escape & Johnny Vicious, Moto Blanco, Mike Rizzo and Dave Audé. To follow up the release, “Give You Everything” will hit radio stations nationwide on April 13^th.

“Give You Everything,” along with Jayne’s previous hit singles, will be included on her highly anticipated debut Pretty Mess, which is scheduled for a August 11th release through E1 Music. The album highlights her talent as both a singer and songwriter and shows multiple sides of Jayne by bringing together a fusion of Rhythmic Pop, Dance and chill Electronic ballads.

“I’m excited for my fans to hear Pretty Mess,” says Jayne. “When I was working on the album, I wanted to create a collection of songs that would make people want to dance and enjoy themselves – something that they could put on and have a good time.”

Production on Pretty Mess by heavy hitters Peter Rafelson (Madonna, Britney Spears, Stevie Nicks) and Eric Kupper (Shakira, Destiny’s Child, Kylie Minogue) is complemented perfectly with stellar guest production by Esthero and Jahi Lake (Chris Brown), under the name Pinklake, and Ike Dirty (Lil’ Scrappy Ying Yang Twinz), son of the legendary Isaac Hayes. Jayne also receives help from celebrated percussionist Sheila E on the track “Time to Realize;” and includes an ode to her influence Prince with a cover of his protégé Apollonia’s hit “Sex Shooter.”

The single release for “Give You Everything” will be accompanied by a video that paired Jayne with Grammy-nominated music video director Marty Thomas and choreographer Mikey Minden (The Pussycat Dolls). Set as Jayne auditions for a starring stage role that leads to a magnetic connection, the video showcases Jayne not only as a singer, but a true dancer and fashion icon.

Jayne has already achieved success ahead of her album release that is not often seen by debut artists. Mike Zito grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and now calls Southeast Texas his home. Growing up in St. Louis, it didn't take long for him to discover his instrument of choice - electric guitar - after receiving a Van Halen record for his birthday. His education and journey were just starting - little did he know he would find himself among legendary musicians at a local guitar shop just out of high school. "Everyone from Chuck Berry to Bennie Smith came in that store," Zito shares of his experience. "I soaked up the sounds of that store and began building my own style."
His first independent release arrived in 1996, titled Blue Room, which included raw and funky songs. His songwriting experience would break through on his sophomore release titled America's Most Wanted in 1999. This album shares his pop sensibilities and intense guitar work.
He found his true sound from all his experiences, new and old, and released his fourth album, Superman in 2006. Touted as "Soulful pop" by critics, Zito's formative influences blend with musical heroes and legends including Prince, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, and many others. Zito's journey has lead him to sharing the stage with artists such as Chuck Berry, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Tab Benoit, Walter Trout, and many more.
In 2007, Mike Zito's path crossed with Randy Chortkoff of Delta Groove Music. Within months, Zito signed a deal with Chortkoff's label Eclecto Groove Records and booking agency Rick Booth/Intrepid Artists. With Mike Zito's national debut release Today due in stores on May 20, 2008, a new chapter of Mike Zito's life is unfolding. Mike Zito has only begun to scratch the musical surface.
