KENNEDY CENTER HONORS FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS WILL RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE SALE OF HEART’S LED ZEPPELIN TRIBUTE

LOS ANGELES ( January 17, 2013)—Following Heart’s show-stopping performance of “Stairway to Heaven” at the Kennedy Center Honors, it was announced today that the track is now available for download exclusively on iTunes for the next two weeks. Ann and Nancy Wilson closed the Kennedy Center Honors with their tribute to rock icons Led Zeppelin after being asked by Robert Plant and Jimmy Page to perform their signature song at the December 2 gala, which then aired on CBS on December 26.  The compelling performance received nearly four million views on YouTube in the few days following the televised show, and the decision was made to support the Kennedy Center Honors Foundation for the Arts with the official release of the track.

“Performing ‘Stairway to Heaven’ with Jason Bonham at the Kennedy Center Honors was an exquisite life moment for us,” said Ann Wilson. “Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones seemed pleasantly surprised and touched by the rendition, and that made it all the sweeter.”

“The President and First Lady liked it too!” said Nancy Wilson. “Proceeds from downloads of this piece will go to bringing music education to schools, and to raising awareness of the deep importance and value of rock history and live performance.”

Ann and Nancy Wilson/Heart will be inducted into the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles on April 18. Heart continues to tour in 2013 in support of their Top 20 studio CD, “Fanatic,” and their memoir “Kicking and Dreaming,” which was an instant NY Times best seller.  According to USA Today, these new releases “define their legacy as rock’s pioneering female fronted, creatively autonomous acts.”  According to CBS This Morning: “Ann and Nancy took rock & roll by storm in 1975 and confronted rock’s boys club atmosphere head on when their debut LP, “Dreamboat Annie,” went platinum making them the first women to front a successful hard rock band.” Heart has sales of 35 million albums, 21 Top 40 hits including “Crazy On You,” “Magic Man,” “Barracuda, “Straight On,” “Even It Up,”  “Kick It Out,” “These Dreams,” “Alone” and “Never,” among many others. January 15, 2013 (Los Angeles, CA): “Unforgotten” takes you on a personal journey of an empathetic story. Joining forces with producer Mark Portmann, known for working with Michael Buble and Barbara Streisand, Roxanna has produced a polished and luxurious rich sound.  Her upcoming album release will provide a seamless, mastered mix of adult contemporary, classic pop, world, and a taste of flamenco. This song is universal and anyone that has experienced heartbreak will be able to identify with the message.

Roxanna has always had a love for music.  Growing up in Canada, she idolized Madonna, Celine Dion, Julio Iglesias, and Olivia Newton John.  Not only did the musicians open up Roxanna to a new world of music, but was also how Roxanna was introduced to the English language.  Before entering into the music industry, she would use music’s influence in her nursing profession to heal her patients.

Spain and the country’s music found its way into Roxanna’s heart as well, and it has inspired how she wants to convey her creativity.  Due to her love for Spanish culture, she has decided to release an alternate Spanish version of the single “Unforgotten” titled “Para Siempre.”  Both versions of the song can be found on upcoming album Exotica, due out late spring.

UK based Pop Singer-Songwriter Luke Potter set to release EP “One Day” January 14 free on Noisetrade.com

January 14, 2013 (Los Angeles, CA):  Luke Potter makes his US debut release with an exclusive three-track EP produced by noted producer Bleu (Demi Lovato, Hanson, Jonas Brothers…) titled “One Day,” on January 14.   “One Day,” will be available on NoiseTrade.com, a music based website that allows you to download the EP for FREE.  “One Day,” aims to gain the attention of pop music fans that are seeking more emotional and honest heartfelt songs.  These catchy and melodic tunes from Luke’s latest release are easy for the young generation to relate to.

“One Day”, the title track and lead-off single, incorporates Luke’s influences for pop and rock, describing what it is like ‘starting over...’ The message in this song is about coming to terms with mistakes and learning from them so that one can get on with their life.  The tone in his voice is all but pleading, “You don’t wanna know the lies that I’ve told, but I’ve paid for my mistakes now I’m on my way to brighter days...”  

The track, “Chance Worth Taking,” showcases Luke’s more mature and personal side.  It’s sure to grab the attention of any young listener by empathizing with its sentimental lyrics.
